| February 7, 2010, MST, 3:40am A followup to TV reporters standing in the snow reporting about the weather: A local station featured a reporter standing in a pile of snow along a city street dressed in full winter garb suitable for a Siberian snow soldier. The terrified reporter was explaining the mayhem caused by the blizzard to the local community.
But behind her, traffic was flowing quite well on totally clear streets. The camera pans away from the traffic and moves to feature the stranded pedestrians on the sidewalk. But unfortunately at that moment a girl walks around the corner in a tee shirt and shorts, and was easily walking down the completely clear pedestrian walkway.
Yes, as we all know, news reporters are more interested in creating news than accurately talking about what's really going on. But the reality here is that most of the snow missed us, and we only got 4". The streets were cleared within an hour, the side streets within 2 hours. It wasn't cold enough for any real ice problems. There was minimal traffic issues. It was good for snowballs and making snowmen.
I know that areas east of here got hammered pretty well. But I doubt those reporters dared to go outside at all. Instead they probably are hiding in their basements eating their survival rations... :)

| February 5, 2010, MST, 4:27pm The silly dimwitted reporters that stand along the road to be photographed getting a flurry in the face, are easily taken out - I carry a bucket of snowballs with me when I drive.
People ask what a Frog does while we're cut off from civilization during a crises. I respond that I have my sled waxed and ready to go in the morning.
Life is simpler when we don't overreact to a simple slam of quite normal weather. People are funny :)

| February 1, 2010, MST, 10:31pm While we are parting out your estate and stuff, I don't need the wood because we have that here, although most of our trees are PVC with U.S. dollars for leaves. But I do want your rocks, especially the big ones. We don't have rocks like that here, it's just clay.
Please send them (postpaid of course) to Frog, P.O. Box F, Steeping Sewage, Ohio 45141.

| February 1, 2010, MST, 3:52pm I see your wood by the cabin, I want it. I want it now. Must have it.
anyway, what I was going to say before I was distracted by the beautifully stacked and seasoned wood (which i must have) by the lovely, homey cabin in the woods (need some), yes, I did make that for the "Album of the Month" thingy. just a picture on picture with seven watchacallems pouring out of the whosawhatsits and some old guy. photoshop fun.
checked out your website again, I like it. Easy, simple, to the point and creative at the same time. Nice to see the Gigootz banner there too. : )
now send me your wood.

| February 1, 2010, MST, 1:33pm The last couple weeks have been cold, but we have been getting very dry air masses that contain little or no winter ground decoration. Perhaps this is being caused by the super-volcano that's under Yellowstone getting ready to go off and lay waste to everything east of there with sulfur and ash :-|

| January 27, 2010, MST, 2:56am My driveway washed away during the drought last July. It used to be blacktop; now it's a mud bottom. The toads loved it last summer when it filled with water.
